The Green House
The Green House helps people of all ages who have experienced the trauma of sexual abuse or sexual violence; whenever it happened.
The Green House provides free specialist counselling to men, women and children who have experienced sexual violence, abuse and/or rape at any point in their lives.
We have over 30 years of experience of providing this service and our aim is to enable victims to overcome their trauma and increase their physical and emotional well-being, resilience and ability to cope and recover.

Confidentiality is extremely important to our work. The information The Green House holds about you is only shared among our staff on a strictly need-to-know basis. We do not pass information about you (including whether you have contacted us) to anyone else unless we have your explicit permission, we are required by law to do so, or we are very concerned about your safety or that of another person, especially a child or vulnerable adult. If you or someone you tell us about is at risk we may have to tell another agency to ensure help is provided. We would discuss this with you beforehand whenever possible.
We have a data protection policy which covers all the information we have about people who contact us and use our services and how they can access information we hold about them.
Currently all female staff
All our counsellors are qualified and highly experienced in working with victims of sexual abuse. Our counsellors all adhere to the BACP ethics and guidelines and receive external supervision and training.
